Coline Periano joined the practice in 2022 as research officer. She prepares her medicine and health ethics doctorate of philosophy under the supervision of Frédéric Worms and Céline Lefève. The thesis is a research agreement between the Atelier Michel Rémon & Associés and the Ecole Normale Supérieure rue d'Ulm (Ecole Doctorale 540 – République des Savoirs).
With philosophy applied research and field methodologies, Coline had already undertaken ethical studies of several public health facilities. Her research focuses on the relationship between medical staff and patients, the exchanges between professional knowledge and experimental practice and, in general, the contribution of user experience to health decision-making.
At the Atelier, her thesis centres on knowledge developed by patients in the facilities where they are treated. How do they arrive there? How do they live there? What behaviours do they create? How do they develop hospitality there?
Coline interviews patients in hospitals and relates their experiences to scientific literature and the ethics of care.
